Frequently asked questions

For the first two weeks, you should wear your retainer for 2 weeks, 22 hours a day, 7 days a week. After that, you can switch to only wearing them at night. If at that point when you put them in at night, you can feel that they are tight, it means your teeth are still settling into their new position. You should continue to wear the retainer during the day until you can comfortably go all day without them and you don't feel the tightness when you put them on at night.
Yes. Your last tray has the same fit as your retainer, the retainer is just thicker and more durable.

Clean with soap, not toothpaste. Believe it or not, soap is better for your aligners than toothpaste. Toothpaste can be abrasive and scratch the plastic. Don’t soak them in mouthwash, instead use a clear retainer or denture cleaner.
With proper care, the retainers will last up to 2 years. We do recommend ordering an extra retainer to have on hand.
We currently do not accept orders for retainers only.
